About Aero

Flight-deck discipline. Down-to-earth people.

Aero is a San Diego managed IT and cybersecurity company. We run your technology the way a good flight crew runs an aircraft: by the checklist, with a backup for everything, and without the attitude.

Mission & vision

Technology support.
By humans. For humans.

Behind every computer is a person trying to get something done. That’s who we’re here for. You shouldn’t need to speak IT to get good help, and you should never feel uncomfortable asking for it. At Aero, we pair serious technical expertise with down-to-earth people who listen, take ownership, and treat you like part of the team.

Our mission

To make technology easier for San Diego businesses and the people behind them through dependable, friendly support. We listen, explain things clearly, and solve problems with patience and respect—never making anyone feel small for asking a question.

Our vision

To be San Diego’s first choice for technology support, setting the standard for putting humans first—where every person feels heard, every question is welcome, and technology helps people do their best work.

Our story

Our story

We run IT with an aviation mindset: redundancy built in, checklists for the work that matters, and recurrent training so everyone stays sharp. The same discipline that keeps aircraft flying, with a tech twist.

Tyler Luna started consulting independently in 2006 and launched TechSupportSD in 2008. In 2020 he and Stephen Wood founded Aero together: Tyler leading clients and technology, Stephen building the operation that delivers it. The name comes from aviation, and so does the way we work. Many of our clients have been with us for more than a decade, growing from a handful of people into organizations with real infrastructure. That’s the work we’re built for.

Today Aero works with law firms, medical groups, financial firms, creative agencies, manufacturers and other organizations across San Diego County that have outgrown one-off fixes and want a single partner accountable for all of their technology.

Principles

How we operate.

01

Checklists over heroics

Documented, repeatable processes beat late-night firefighting every time.

02

Redundancy by default

No single point of failure: in your systems, or on our team.

03

Plain-English communication

Clear status, clear options, clear costs. No jargon as a smokescreen.

04

Own the outcome

If it touches your technology, it’s our problem, even when a vendor caused it.

Leadership

The people accountable to you.

Tyler Luna in the Aero office

Tyler Luna

Co-founder & CEO

Tyler grew up in Mississippi and built his career the old-fashioned way: hard work, and curiosity about how things work. In 2004 he joined a law firm as an accounting clerk and legal assistant, and spearheaded the firm’s move from paper ledgers to computers. Before long he was the person everyone called when the technology stopped working.

He moved to San Diego in 2006 and spent six and a half years as a systems technician for the County of San Diego, supporting 120 users, while building an independent consultancy on the side. That became TechSupportSD in 2008, and in 2020 he and Stephen founded Aero together. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Coleman University.

Away from work you’ll usually find him out on his vintage Sea Ray, in a kayak with friends, or hunting down a cuisine he hasn’t tried. Family comes first.

Stephen Wood

Stephen Wood

Co-founder & Chief Operating Officer

Stephen co-founded Aero with Tyler in 2020 and built the operation behind it: the service desk, client onboarding, project delivery, and the standards every client environment is held to. He led operations from day one as Director of Operations and has been COO since 2022. If Aero feels organized from the outside, that’s Stephen’s work.

Before Aero he worked as an IT service delivery manager and a freelance IT specialist, and spent more than three years as a computer technician for the Walker County Board of Education in Alabama. Before IT, he was an Advanced EMT with Regional Paramedical Services, which may explain why he stays calm when something is on fire.

Start with a conversation.

Thirty minutes with a support specialist, not a salesperson. We’ll ask about your environment, tell you what we’d look at first, and say so if we’re not the right fit. No cost, no obligation, and nobody will call you seven times.
