Pricing

How pricing works, before you talk to anyone.

Managed IT is a flat monthly fee per user. Routine work is included. Projects and hardware are quoted separately, in writing, before anything starts. Here’s the detail most providers make you book a call to hear.

Three ways to buy

Pick the model that matches how you work.

Fully managed

Flat fee per user, per month. Best for organizations without internal IT. Everything an IT department does, on one invoice, including strategy.

Per-device fees only come in as add-ons, for extra equipment or special circumstances.

What’s included

Add-on programs

Scoped and quoted separately, when you need them. We help you use AI with confidence, including Copilot readiness: guardrails first, real time saved after. There’s also endpoint detection and response for organizations on a retainer rather than a managed plan, and standalone fractional CTO retainers.

Priced as a fixed program or a monthly line, always in writing first.

AI, done responsibly

Projects & retainers

Fixed quotes for projects such as office moves, migrations and network rebuilds. Block-hour retainers are limited and mostly reserved for long-standing clients, but if one is the right way to start working together, we’re happy to talk.

Every quote is itemized and approved before work begins.

Scope a project

Fully managed plans

What’s in the flat fee, and what isn’t.

The point of a flat fee is that you stop watching the clock. This is where the line sits.

Included

  • Service desk support for every user, remote and on site, with no hourly billing for routine issues
  • 24/7 monitoring, patching and routine maintenance
  • The security baseline: MFA, EDR with 24/7 managed detection and response, identity threat detection for your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace tenant, SIEM, email filtering, DNS protection, awareness training, and an AI acceptable-use policy
  • Backup for Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, servers and endpoints, with restore tests
  • Onboarding and offboarding of employees and devices
  • Vendor management for your ISP, software and hardware suppliers
  • Documentation of your environment, asset inventory and credential vaulting
  • Security evidence and help completing insurance and client questionnaires
  • Fractional CTO: roadmap, budget and quarterly business reviews

Quoted separately

  • Projects: office moves, server or cloud migrations, network rebuilds, M&A integration
  • Hardware, software licenses and cloud subscriptions, sourced through our distribution partners and itemized on your quote
  • Per-device add-ons for extra equipment, such as servers, shared workstations or lab machines, or for special circumstances
  • Third-party penetration testing
  • Work outside the agreed scope, always approved by you first

Getting a number

From first call to a written proposal.

  1. 30 minutes

    Consultation

Users, devices, locations, compliance, current pain. We’ll tell you on the call if we’re not the right fit.

  2. A few days

    Light review

A look at your environment from the outside, plus a short conversation with whoever runs IT today.

  3. Then

    Written proposal

Itemized scope, the per-user rate and any add-ons, what’s excluded, response targets and terms. No "call for pricing".

  4. Your call

    Decide

Take it to your leadership team. We don’t do expiring discounts or seventh follow-up calls.

Pricing questions

Asked on almost every first call.

Why don’t you publish a price list?

Because the honest number depends on your scope: how many users and devices, how many locations, what your insurer or clients require, and whether you have internal IT. Two 120-person companies can be priced very differently, and a single headline number would mislead at least one of them. What we do promise is a written, itemized proposal after one conversation, with nothing hidden in it.

Do you charge per device?

Fully managed plans are priced per user, so the number is simple to plan around. Per-device fees only come in as add-ons, for extra equipment such as servers, shared workstations or lab and shop-floor machines, or for special circumstances. If any apply, they’re itemized in your proposal.

What’s a typical contract?

Terms are spelled out in your proposal and reviewed on the call. The documentation and credentials for your environment are yours, and if you ever decide to move on, you’ll get everything needed for a smooth handoff. Our own internal tools and processes stay with us, which is part of how we keep every client secure.

Are there onboarding fees?

Usually not. For most clients, the first month of service covers onboarding: discovery, documentation, the security baseline and the handover from your current provider. We only charge a separate onboarding fee in special situations, and if one applies, you’ll see it in your proposal before you sign.

Can we start with just one piece?

Fully managed plans are all-inclusive by design, because a partial plan is where surprise invoices come from. If you’re not ready for that, a project is a good low-commitment way to work with us first. Block-hour retainers are limited and mostly reserved for long-standing clients, but if one makes sense as a first step, we’re happy to talk it through.

What if our headcount changes?

Your plan follows your headcount at the agreed per-user rate. Add people as you grow, and if you need to scale back, the plan comes down with you, to the minimum set out in your agreement. We review it at each quarterly business review, so a change in either direction never means a renegotiation.
